FRDC’s Workforce Program was established to combat unemployment and underemployment among low- to moderate-income urban residents in Greater Cleveland. FRDC partners with a wide range of stakeholders, including large and small employers, community development organizations, local governments, and other workforce providers.
The program creates a clear employment pathway, providing targeted job access, comprehensive training and supportive services that enhance the chances of long-term employment and economic self-sufficiency. By working collaboratively, the program addresses both the needs of employers to hire and retain workers, and the community’s need to reduce high unemployment rates in Cleveland and East Cleveland.
