FRDC provides advocacy, supportive services and/or technical assistance to residents, businesses, churches, nonprofits, schools and community groups to bridge unmet needs including housing maintenance, utility assistance, workforce development, financial stability, business development, resident leadership development, digital literacy, mentoring and community building.

Existing Rental Properties

Fairfax Intergenerational Housing is a 40 unit project with a mix of two, three and four bedroom townhomes located on Central Avenue between East 80th and East 83rd Streets. This affordable housing project targets persons 55 and older with legal custody of minor children.

Economic Development

Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation (FRDC) is committed to stimulating sustained economic growth and wealth creation in Fairfax. The Department of Economic Development at FRDC provides technical assistance to small and large companies resulting in business expansion and retention. FRDC also provides guidance on zoning variances, business deal financing strategies, site acquisition and design.

Workforce Development

In an effort to assist unemployed and underemployed City of Cleveland and other residents, FRDC offers a workforce development program. The program focuses on soft skill development including building technology skills and access, financial literacy, referral to supportive services and training and internship opportunities.

Fairfax Neighborhood Technology Center

Free computer training classes are offered at the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels to area residents. The classes cover a range of topics including, Introduction to Computers, Fundamentals of Typing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet/Email.

Cleveland Clinic Community Health and Education Center (CCCHEC)

In 2006, Cleveland Clinic partnered with FRDC to offer health screenings to residents, and in 2009 the CCCHEC was launched in the Langston Hughes Center at East 79th and Quincy Avenue.
